don fedderson was associated with betty white on several tv shows in the 1950s, starting with local tv in la. don fedderson later became known as the producer of the millionaire, my three sons , family affair, and do you trust your wife ? a footnote he refused to release johnny carson from his contract to do the tonight show . carson had to work until the contract ended . also note frank de vol ,fred henry and george tibbles his associates on other productions .

I love seeing her back then again. I was a child with my mother when I was allowed to sit in the audience. They said they did not let children in the audience but I was shy and quiet so I guess the man decided I could go. It was not this specific episode but one of them. It was interesting. We sat very far in the back so we would not be on TV. I have always liked Betty White and love her now. This show may not be great but it is great to see her again so young.

I think Betty is so popular because she's versatile. I remember back when she played Sue Ann Nivens on Mary Tyler Moore. Quite different from the "not all there" character she played on Golden Girls. Her actual personality was a bit more like Sue Ann Nivens... she had kind of a dirty mind and could tell a good dirty joke without ever saying a bad word. She must have really made Alan Ludden happy!
And I agree, not a great show. Good, definitely, but not great.

I actually like Betty White, I really do but I just don't get as to why she is so so so very popular today. Actually it seems she is more popular TODAY than back in the 50s & 60s.
My husband says its due to her age and the fact that so few from the golden days of TV are still with us. My guess is that I can't recall ever hearing anything negative about Betty White. Actually she and The Three Stooges may be the only ones as there is no shortage of horror stories out there whether its in books or online about how "nasty" the great ones like Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Dick Clark, Jack Webb, Glason, Deno, Jack Parr, Bing Crosby, Ed Sullivan were to many of those who had worked for them.
Good show though...not great but goo.

This isn't great TV, but it's nice seeing Betty White so young and it's fun seeing her sing two songs. The PSA is interesting, the Promo is odd, the "Wish" is awkward but fun, and overall, despite the programmes awkwardness, it's worth a watch.
